Teething Relief 101
At Peter Pang DDS we are often asked what parents can do to relieve their child’s discomfort during teething. Sore gums are bound to result from erupting teeth between 6 months and 3 years of age and the discomfort often lasts a few days at a time. Dr. Peter Pang suggests offering a cool, clean teeth ring, chilled spoon or toothbrush to your child. You can also rub a clean finger or cool, wet washcloth on the sore gums to relieve your child’s discomfort. You are not alone. If you are concerned about your child’s teething, please call Peter Pang DDS in Sonoma, (877) 835-8401. Read more about children's dentist: |
Don't Forget to Floss! Clean between teeth daily with floss or an interdental cleaner. Decay-causing bacteria can hid between teeth where toothbrush bristles can't reach. Flossing helps remove plaque and food particles from between teeth and under the gum line. Visit Our Office Regularly! Take good care of your smile. Remember to visit the dentist regularly for professional cleanings and oral exams. Mouthwash Is Important, Too! Brushing and flossing may not be enough. The ADA now recommends using an antimicrobial mouthwash to reduce plaque and prevent gingivitis. |
